The pin consists of a gold circle containing the design of the UK Union flag. Superimposed on the circle, and covering most of the lower and central area, is a gold design with the Hard Rock 50th Anniversary logo as its central base with birds feathered wings extending out right and left. Above the logo is the facade of the entrance to the Piccadilly Circus Cafe with two flag poles, one either side, carrying dark red flags with white standard Hard Rock logo motifs on them. The words 'Hard Rock Cafe' are placed over the top of the 50th Anniversary logo.
The back of the pin is gold in appearance with a design of vertical and horizontal guitars crossing at mid neck and interspersed with Hard Rock logos. A three line text box gives no indication of quantity even though the backing card on which the pin is sold suggests it to be a 'Limited Edition'. A guitar pick shaped hologram authenticates the pin as a genuine Hard Rock product.
The pin went on retail sale on 12 June 2021 priced £11.95.
