With a unique one-year-only body style, the '58 Bonny was produced to celebrate both GM's 50th anniversary and the retirement of renowned designer Harley Earl. In his final design, Earl created nothing short of a masterpiece that would also move Pontiac's image away from being a stodgy old-man's car. The Bonneville's shrouded quad headlights, low stance, spaceship-like side spears and concave quarter panels promised that a Pontiac was a car for the modern era.
