50th Anniversary Hinged Landmark

Part of the 50th Anniversary Hinged Landmark Series, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Hard Rock Cafe brand, founded in 1971. Each pin is 3D, round and hinged, with a translucent red front that features a Hard Rock 50th anniversary logo in antique gold. Pin opens from left to right to reveal a local scene, all in antique gold.

The Tokyo pin opens to show several Japanese landmarks, including:

  1. Sunrise at Mt. Fuji
  2. Tokyo Tower
  3. Tokyo Skytree
  4. Five-Storied Pagoda
  5. Tokyo's Skyscrapers
  6. Kaminarimon Gate of Asakusa Temple

At bottom, instead of a location name, it says "Japan 1983" (Foundation year of Tokyo Hard Rock)

This pin was never sold to the public but handed out to company partners as promotional gift. The pin comes on a dark blue backing card featuring musical symbols outlined in gold. At top left, in gold, is a Hard Rock 50th anniversary logo. The two rows of gold Japanese letters at bottom center means "On July 4th 1983, Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo opened in Roppongi as the 1st Hard Rock in Japan."

Back of pin says just "Limited Edition" (no production number)
