Part of the 50th Anniversary Rita Retirement Series, celebrating the retirement of Rita Gilligan MBE, original Hard Rock Cafe waitress and longtime brand ambassador, after 50 years of service. The Hard Rock Cafe brand was founded in London in 1971, with Rita on the opening staff. Each pin in the series features Rita with her trademark red hair and white uniform, posing in front of a local scene and wearing or holding one or more locally themed accessories.
Paris pin features Rita with a brown guitar in front of Eiffel Tower. She is standing on a parisian Terrasse playing guitar at the right side of a restaurant table with bottle of wine and croissant.
On her uniform and guitar strap are Hard Rock pins.
On pocket of uniform, in red capital letters, is the abbreviation "MBE." In 1998, Rita was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), in recognition for her contributions to tourism in the United Kingdom.
Hard Rock Cafe logo is at bottom left of pin with location name in gold.
Back of pin says "Limited Edition 300."
Sold on a red backing card with an image of Rita on the front. At bottom left, in gold, is a Hard Rock 50th anniversary logo. At bottom right, in white script, is the name "Rita Gilligan, MBE." On back of card is a message from Rita.
