Coz of the long time Covid 19 drama AIDA Cruises restarted in October 2020 after months of operation without guests. AIDAblu was cruising 2 weeks with guest around Italy's coasts til the next lay down was announced coz of raising covid cases in germany and italy.
This pin was given to all AIDAblu galley crew members as a small honor for their fantastic and successful work before and during the ramp up phase. This pin wasn't official released by AIDA.
The pin shows AIDAblu protected by a winged god of the oceans. The anchor is a small reminder of the long time anchorage of all AIDAships. Italy is in it's national colors visible in the background. "Bella Italia" is written on the right side. This was the motto of blu's two october 2020 cruises. Because of the ups and downs, crew which was a very long time aboard, a lot of highlights, dramas and a kind of adventure time aboard the banner on the lower level "AIDAblu Galley Team And The October Ramp Up 2020" is designed similar to the banner of the motion picture "back to the future".
The compass shows the right course. Before, during and after the operation AIDAblu was without any Covid cases. A fantastic signature for the successful hygiene concept.
