Australian Light Horseman

Australia joined WWI after Turkey entered the war on the side of Germany and Austria. One of the first troops to form were the 'Australian Light Horseman,' a group of mostly bush native men with superb horsemanship and marksmanship skills. The Australian Light Horseman were best known for their significant contribution in the conquest of Beersheba.
