Meanwhile across the globe in Siberia, another group of avengers responds to a nuclear accident. And the Black Knight, Captain America, Firebird, Quicksilver, and Thor have no idea what they're about to face! Cameo appearances by Jarvis, Wonder Man, and the Scarlet Witch. (Notes: This month Marvel begins including legacy numbering on its covers. Volume 3 issue #41 is Avengers legacy issue 456. This fifteen-issue saga was reprinted in 2002 in the trade paperback: Avengers The Kang Dynasty.)
