Fourth in a series of clone pins promoting the partnership between Hard Rock and soccer (football) player Lionel Messi.
Hard Rock merchandise originated in the early 1970s, when the first cafe in London sponsored a local soccer team and made uniform shirts with the Hard Rock Cafe logo. Extra shirts were given to customers, creating such demand that more shirts were made and sold.
Pin features laser-printed artwork of Messi at the center of a Hard Rock logo, leaping to the left and kicking a soccer ball. Design is primarily blue and black. Logo is black with a blue background. Messi's uniform is mainly shades of pink, with light blue and white shorts and light blue, red and yellow shoes. On his chest is another Hard Rock logo in black. As team captain, he also wears a black armband with the letter C in white. Ball is at top left in blue and yellow. At bottom center of pin is Captain Messi and the location name.
