Produced half a million specimens, the Hillman Imp was innovative at its time. It was unfortunately affected by numerous reliability problems that ruined the reputation despite some victories in races. During the 13 years of the production it marked the failure of the Rootes Group and the transfer of production lines at Chrysler Europe. In the UK, this model still has a large number of fans.
