The 1:1 prototype for this model is in the livery of a company named "Will-Reisen", as seen on the leaflet. For some reason the company name has been omitted from the model, but the colors have been faithfully duplicated.
The name comes from NH = Neoplan Henschel (who made the engine) 9 (9 rows of seats) L (Luftfederung = air-suspension) and Hamburg for the city where the designers created the bus.
