This 3D, two-sided round card protector has a bronze appearance, is unpainted, and measures 2” in diameter. The first side (top side), looks like a vinyl album with the Hard Rock logo in the middle, with the outer circle having the location at the top and the specific location title at the bottom. Below the ‘H and a’ are one small spade and one small heart. Below the ‘c and K’ are one small club and one small diamond.
The second side (bottom side), depicts a partial guitar body, pick guard with tuning knobs, neck, bridge, and strings. The words, ‘Love All Serve All’ are seen to one side of the guitar. There is an outer ring that has twelve small spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds, four (4) of each, alternating in turn around this ring.
A card protector is a small object placed on top of a player’s hand for the purpose of preventing the cards from being mucked or fouled by another player or the dealer (Poker Zone). Using a card protector atop hole cards, makes it easier to determine whose cards are whose (i.e., which player the card(s) belong to) and which cards are in play. Card protectors are often seen as a way for a player to add fun, personality, and or style to his/her game.
Mucked or fouled cards, refers, ‘To the discards and other dead cards piled in front of the dealer. In most poker games, once a card is discarded or misdealt, it is out of play for the remainder of the hand. It is the dealer's responsibility to collect these "dead cards" and keep them face down in a muck on the playing table’, according to Poker King Dictionary. Furthermore, if another player's cards accidentally touch another player’s cards, that hand is declared dead. This may not apply if it is clear which cards belong to which player. The use of a card protector makes the determination easier. Moreover, card protectors are especially important if a player is seated next to a dealer in seats one (1) or ten (10), because these seats have a higher risk of accidentally getting swept up in the muck.
