Luke and Danny meet at the Department of Correction's dock on the East River in the Bronx to pick up White Jennie, who has just been released from Ryker's Island after serving five years for the murder of Eugene Mason. They take her to the Excelsior Diner and ask if there's anything they can do for her to help her get back on her feet. She's hesitant at first, but Danny tells her, as the Heroes for Hire's former office manager, that she's family, and they'd do anything for her. Reluctantly she tells them that her ex owed a lot of people money, that a necklace which belonged to her grandmother had been taken, and that she'd like their help in recovering it from the current owner, Lonnie Lincoln.
