Salem Witch

The Courtroom of the Salem Witch Trials that took place from February 1692 - May 1693. Mary Walcott was one of the teenage accusers. She became hysterical in the courtroom and appeared to be afflicted with a spell. This caused mass hysteria and the deadliest witch hunt in Colonial North America. More than 200 people were accused of witchcraft. 14 women and 5 men were found guilty and hanged. One other man who refused to plead was crushed to death, and at least 5 others died in jail.
