The Obliterator decides to seek revenge on the Silver Surfer by killing everyone on Zenn-La. The Silver Surfer is notified of this attack by Shalla-Bal and quickly comes to his home planet's aide. The two battle to a standstill and the Surfer convinces the Obliterator that he can't destroy Zenn-La and its people. To do this would make the Surfer an Elder of the Universe and thus immortal. The Obliterator realizes that his only option for revenge is to kill the Silver Surfer, but he quickly flies away before he can attempt to do this.
