First appearance of the new (female) Doctor Octopus. Scarlet Spider guest stars in the Greatest Responsibility part 1, "Crossroads," Ben goes into cyberspace to help Seward track the thief that stole his files when he was a prisoner only to encounter anti-viral programs that overload Seward's virtual reality system; Using the stolen files, Dr. Octopus discovers that Seward developed a stable interface between the real world and virtual reality; Meanwhile, Peter and MJ visit Seward to check for any more "time bombs" in Peter's head; Later, Ock agents Johnson and Steele test her VR Wave, bringing a virtual reality Jurassic Age to Fifth Avenue before the device cuts out. The story continues in Spider-Man 63.
