A few of the releases from Silas Model have been launched more or less 'in secrecy', this is one of them (the other two being the Hillman Hunter and the Singer New Vogue.)
It was - along with the two close relatives Riley 4/Seventy Two and MG Magnette MkIV - among the very first models to be announced, back in 2011, and at the time the release date was projected to be 'later this year' (that is 2011.) Since then, several things went wrong and the release dates were set on standby. At one point, all three Farina-models were said to be canceled, but in mid 2015 something finally happened when first the MG, then the Riley came out.
This left only the Wolseley to appear, but not a word was said about it anywhere - in fact, Silas had hardly mentioned the car since 2012, when suddenly, between november 30th and december 11th 2015, out of the blue, a handful appeared a few days apart on eBay (from some of the authorized sellers) and sold immediately (a matter of hours, if not minutes.) After that... nothing! And still no mention of the models on official Silas-channels.
Finally, on january 11th 2016, a new small batch appeared on eBay, but still no announcement from Silas.
In the past, these 'secret' releases have led to many customers missing out.
