The Targa Florio in 1930 was an epic battle between Achille Varzi and Tazio Nulovari in their Alfa Romeos and Louis Chiron in his Bugatti. Leading the race, Varzi's Alfa developed a fuel leak which they had to patch and his riding mechanic had to add fuel as they raced along, beating out fuel fires with his seat cushion. Varzi barely won when a gaining Chiron hit a bridge abutment. This is Varzi's Alfa Romeo.
