Austin Powers is a fictional International Man of Mystery. Danger is his middle name.
A spy who posed as a fashion photographer in 1960's London, he was cryogenically frozen in 1967 and thawed out in the late 1990's in order to defeat his old nemesis, Dr Evil. Powers initially found the modern era hard to acclimatize to, but eventually did so (although he later travelled back in time to both the 1960's and the 1970's.)

Powers is known for being irresistible to women and for his numerous catchphrases, including describing things as "Shagadelic" and calling everyone "Baby". Powers also performed with his band, variously known as Ming Tea and The Austin Powers Flowers. He is a widower, having briefly been married to his colleague Vanessa Kensington. Unbeknown to him, Vanessa had been turned into a fembot and she exploded the day after their wedding.
Powers appears in three films, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002).
