From Earth-616, from London he later relocated to America in hopes of inventing the ability to make plant life smart enough for human beings to speak with and understand. Eventually lightning hit his plant ray gun, giving it the power to control and animate all plant life. This was due to an intervention from a plant-like race H'ylthri from the mystical city of K'un-Lun. He later joined the Thunderbolts hoping that the group would match his own goals of protecting "Verdent Green" from humans. He later agreed to return to prison. Eventually allied himself with the Cotati (plant based alien species) during their invasion.
