Carnage (Cletus Kasady)

Carnage is a Marvel Comincs villan who is a parasitic alien known as a symbiote. He was created by David Michelinie and Chris Marrinan and was initially seen in The Amazing Spider-Man #360 (March 1992). Carnage is the red symbiote offspring of Venom that initially bonded with the serial killer Cletus Kassidy.

Carnage has bonded with others. including scientist Carla Unger. She was investigating a sample of the Carnage symbiote provided by Spider-Man. When analyzing a fraction of the sample, she received a phone call from her abusive husband, Will. The tissue sample reacted to her hatred of Will and entered her body through her left eye. This resulted in the destruction of her lab as well as her death and the death of her husband.
