Conrad is a German company founded in 1956 as a supplier for toy manufacturers Gescha and Strenco. The company took the foray into manufacturing in 1971 under its own name, producing 1/50 scale models of commercial vehicles. Conrad switched it up in the early 1980s, creating a line of 1/43 scale diecast models of contemporary Volkswagen and Audis. Later the decade, Conrad unveiled a line of 1/66 scale models.
