The collection was tested in 2019 with the reproduction Corgi Toys #474 Ford Thames Ice Cream Van. After a long wait, a press release was issued from Blue DTC Brands (February 2021) confirming that they have been given the exclusive rights by Hornby to sell and distribute in the UK a collection of replicas from the Corgi Toys 1960’s catalogue.

Blue DTC Brands decided which models were to be made and commissioned Hornby Toys to design and produce the models for them. Hornby allowed them to use Corgi Toys copyrighted material for this series.

The models are sold to series subscribers and can also be purchased directly from their website at corgimodel.club.com. Subscribers get models more cheaply than those who order individual models online.

In 2022, the USA Club was started up with specific models on sale online for the US.

In 2024, the Corgi Model Club announced on their Facebook page that they were now part of Hornby Hobbies.

See links under each Model Car for the MAR Online review of each replica.
