Darrell Lee Waltrip, (born February 5, 1947), is an American motorsports analyst, author, national television broadcaster, and former racing car driver. He is also a 3-time NASCAR Cup Series champion (1981, 1982, 1985), a 3-time NASCAR Cup Series runner-up (1979, 1983, 1986) as well the winner of the 1989 Daytona 500 and a 5-time winner of the Series' longest race—the Coca-Cola 600.
