Dave Sinclair was one of if not the first person to begin selling 1:43 scale diecast cars in the United States after he started importing select diecast cars in 1964 with his company Mini Autos. Since, Sinclair has pursued increasingly rarer small scale replicas that exist in so small a number as to be known only to the seasoned collector, a passion guided by taste that garnered him renown within the diecast community.
Sinclair passed away January 24, 2012 and was swiftly inducted into the Diecast Scale Model Hall of Fame in February 2012 as The Godfather of 1:43 Models.
