<p>Logging has always been a profession of sweat and hard, dangerous work.&nbsp; In the 1920's, before the invention of chain saws,&nbsp; timber was still cut by hand.&nbsp; The invention of the traction engine (when it wasn't too muddy) allowed heavy loads of cut logs to be hauled from the woods.&nbsp; Based on old photos and library research, this is a scene of a log landing in the Oregon Cascades about 1928 and is dedicated to the men that worked those woods.</p>

<p>All across America, on any given hot summer Saturday night, dirt track speedways come alive to the sights and sounds of racing.&nbsp; Many of America's great drivers cut their teeth on these tracks behind the wheel of a midget racer like these.&nbsp; This is a homage to our local 1/4 mile dirt track.</p>
