‘Disney’ & ‘Disney Store’ Logo Box Variants

OG ‘Disney Store’ Logo Series | pop! | Series

Something Missing?

Funko's first release of Disney pops! were released as the original (OG) series 1-4 + wreck it Ralph, all were in a specific 'Disney Store' Logo Box and these box releases were only available at Disney Parks or Disney Stores.  Series 1 started in 2011.

Later, Funko decided to create a separate box variant, a 'Disney' Logo Box (no store), specifically for a (almost all) re-release variant of the original 'DISNEY STORE' Box series.

Also note, the only 'stickered' pops' Funko had during the OG Disney series were those specific to a con or event (sdcc/d23).

•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-•-KEY POINTS:

Disney Series 1-4 + OG Wreck it Ralph's:
ALL were released originally as a 'Disney Store' Box Logo, but not all were re-released to the public which were released in 'Disney' box Logos

Bobblehead Figures:
'Disney Store' Box Logos never had any 'bobblehead' figure variants created fat this time.
Bobbleheads were introduced during the re-releases ('Disney' Logo box) and were only changed for the Toy Story Figures within the series.
    In short:
        • 'Disney Store' Box = no bobblehead
      • 'Disney' logo box = bobblehead figure - but only for Toy Story Figures

LOGO DIFFERENCES

Oval Logo Outlines:   'Disney Store' Box Logos are the ONLY logo boxes that have an oval shape outlined with white.  ''Disney' Logo has no white outline.
Logo Colors: All oval logos have a Blue background, EXCPET series 1 & wreck it Ralph, as they had a RED Disney Store oval logo.                                                            Logo on Box Placement: All Disney Logo's can be easily seen at the front top of the box.

Which Series did they stop doing the 'Disney Store' Logo Boxes?

Even though some series boxes, like Series 5, reflect the same 'Disney' Logo as seen in the OG 1-4 series, this series was the first series to not have all released as a 'Disney store' Logo box first.

OG Disney Series 1-4 box Info:

Each OG Disney Series has a set color for all the pop boxes.

OG Disney Series were released with 2 different BOX LOGO variants (on the Disney Store Logo colors vary amongst certain series, but both Disney Store & Disney Logo Boxes have additional small noticeable box differences to help depict the box logo variant and it's figure)

ADDITIONAL OG series 'LOGO' Variants FAQS:

   •  OG Series Pops were released with 2 Different Box Variants of 'Disney' logos

      ('Disney' & 'Disney Store')

- Both Logo variants seen on the top front of the box, are Blue;  Except Series 1- where the Disney Store Logo color is Red & Disney Logo is Blue.

- Additional Box Differences can be seen amongst the two Logo Variants & can vary amongst series, but these additional box differences can provide additional indication of its logo box variant.

     * examples:
  - Series 1- first released Disney store logo boxes will have a red logo also on the side box, and diff release boxes will only have the logo on the front not side.

  - Series 1- Disney Store Logo Box Variants have an A# seen on the back of the box - which should corresponds & match the footstamp of the figure

A# on Back of Box:
Series 1&2 have a specific A# printed on the back of all DISNEY STORE Logo boxes & a few Disney logo boxes in series 1.
The A# is the same based on the Box Logo & it's release edition (comparing diff a# against its JJL bottom stkr (year)

For example:  Series 1 - all 1st released Mickey Mouse- red double logo 'Disney Store' Boxes have A086 on the back, where the 2nd double red logo release (diff JJL date) has A112.

Also- this A# can be used to verify if the figure inside belongs to that box release variant- as the footstamp will have the matching A# to its box.
