Dwayne Vance kicked off his career upon obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Transportation Design from the Pasadena ArtCenter College of Design. He worked for Troy Lee Designs on motorcycle gear before changing gears over to Mattel's Hot Wheels. He served as the lead vehicle design director for the Hot Wheels series AcceleRacers. Afterwards, he founded his own company titled Future Elements and published art books in collaboration with other artists.
