Something Missing?

Erja Häkkinen (née Honkanen) (born 28 October 1961 in Sippola) is a Finnish television presenter, model and travel guide whose former husband is F1 World Champion Mika Häkkinen. In the autumn of 2008, Erja appeared in public on Nelonen's TV series Operation Maa, where she participated with the musician Martti Syrjä in a windmill project in Madagascar. Häkkinen will be an entrepreneur in the beauty industry after acquiring a share in the beauty industry import company Camilla Aho Oy Ab in 2019.

Mika Häkkinen and Erja Honkanen met in the early 1990s. Honkanen was a travel guide in Nice at the time. In 1998, the couple's wedding was celebrated twice: on May 30, 1998, the couple married in Monaco, but the actual wedding party was held on June 13 in Porvoo. Later, in a book written by Lasse Erola, it was reported that Keke Rosberg had urged Häkki to obtain a civil marriage in Monaco before the church wedding in Finland, as this would give the couple an automatic marriage.

After their Formula 1 career, the couple often made headlines in the afternoon newspapers, e.g. because of their marital problems. Among other things, the marriage was weakened by the fact that Häkkinen began to live a lighter life after ending his career. However, he soon returned to motorsport in the DTM series. The cages were plentiful in the topics of the yellow press and rumors circulated several times over the years. According to Ilta-Sanomat, the relationship between the couple began to widen when Mika Häkkinen ended his career in the DTM series in the autumn of 2007. Their resignation was announced on February 6, 2008.

The couple has two children, Hugo and Aina-Julia. The cage and the children lived in Monaco and then in Paris after the separation. Häkkinen is dating Mika Karttunen, who works in the film industry.
