Giampiero Biscaldi

Driver

Something Missing?

A strong and vigorous man, a corageous improviser at the wheel of a race car, Giampiero Biscaldi raced sportscars between 1962 and 1969, driving for Abarth, Ferrari, Porsche and Alfa Romeo works teams. He participated five times in both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Targa Florio, taking a prestigious second place in the latter, in 1967. He took part to the non-championship Gran Premio del Mediterraneo, Formula 1 race held at Pergusa in 1965, at the wheel of a BRM P578. Though he was a stocky man, he had been the 100 metres dash Italian military champion.
