Giancarlo Gagliardi (born 26 December 1943) is a former Italian racing driver who raced in Formula Three and sports cars. He was supposed to race in the 1972 Italian Grand Prix with the Williams Team, but never took part in the event because his car was not ready.
Gagliardi began his racing career driving a Formula Three Brabham in 1968. The following year, he was recruited by Scuderia Jolly Club to drive a Tecno, which was one of the best cars in F3 at the time. It was with this car that he earned his first victory. The team also gave him the opportunity to race a Brabham car in Formula Two.

While continuing in Formula Two, Gagliardi also joined the Italian Scuderia Filipinetti sports car team in 1971, although he was largely hindered by reliability issues.
In 1972, Frank Williams gave Gagliardi the chance to drive the team's Politoys FX3 car at the Italian Grand Prix. This was the team's first in-house chassis funded by their sponsor Politoys. The car debuted at the 1972 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch driven by Henri Pescarolo, but the steering failed and the car was heavily damaged in the crash. Unfortunately for Gagliardi, the car was never repaired and so he was unable to participate in what would have been his Formula One debut.
He continued to race in sports cars, earning a class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1975. He retired from racing in 1977.
