Gremlins

Gremlins is a series of comedy horror films produced and distributed by Warner Bros. The first Gremlins movie was released in 1984. Gremlins 2: The New Batch, the second film in the Gremlins series, was released on June 15, 1990. According to IMDB.com. Gremlins 3 is scheduled for release sometime in 2023. There are also video games, toys, and books. 

In January 2013, Vulture reported that Warner Bros. was negotiating with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment to reboot the Gremlins franchise. Seth Grahame-Smith was originally set to produce along with David Katzenberg, but quit the project. Zach Galligan, the actor for Billy, confirmed that it was a sequel and not a reboot. Chris Columbus (creator of the characters) is set to direct the film. Columbus stated in November 2020 that the Gremlins would not have their CGI designs but will be having puppets and animatronics.
