Brian Redman has been successful in almost every form of racing over a thirty-year career, driving for the top marques and teams in a who's-who list of racing great, famous races and outstanding finishes. He is also an outstanding gentleman and all-around great bloke!
Group 44 returned to Le Mans in 1985 with this XJR-5 (Chassis #008) and the trio of Bob Tullius, Chip Robinson and Claude Ballot-Lena would finish 13th overal and 1st in the GTP class, despite engine troubles.
Jaguar Model Club produced this 1/24 scale model based on the Profil24 kit and built by Ian Burkinshaw. The kits were noted to be very difficult to assemble and Burkinshaw did a fantastic job! Each base is signed by Bob Tullius, founder and owner of Group 44.
A run of 44 models was planned. The exact number of models made by the Jaguar Model Club is unknown. It has been reported that a flood in Gary Oxley's house destroyed a number of completed models and/or kits. These are very rare and seldom come on the market.
