In 2005, Herpa Wings introduces the Magic Collection featuring model aircraft in the scale 1:600, aiming to directly contend with direct competitor Schabak. In September, a 1:1000 scale Airbus A380 model was also released. In 2006, the 1:1000 scale series of models were officially launched. The Scenix range of airport accessories and dioramas were also introduced.

Today, Herpa Wings is one of the most respected and established miniature model brands and competes not only with Schabak but with newcomers Dragon Models Limited, StarJets, Gemini Jets, and Jet-X, though Herpa still is probably the most widely available brand.
