Started in 1986 by Mike Strauss, and continued by Jim Garbaczewski. The Hot Wheels Newsletter is now published by Peter Kistler quarterly. It features regular columns from Mike Strauss, Russ Looker and Bob Rosas. It is an independent publication, under license with Mattel. 

The Hot Wheels Newsletter also has a very active Facebook page with around 10,000 users.  The page is managed by Craig Hancock and Jay Milkeris and a separate Facebook page allowing trades with around 6,000 users.
