The second casting of the Commer, introduced in 1970, of the 1962 Walk-Thru van. Discontinued around 1981-2. Red with black fenders were made as promos for the 'Model Cars' shop in Rotterdam (Model Auto Review, Winter 1982). In the 1980s, Lion Toys sent plain painted vans to two English model car shops, John Gay (yellow, green, white, blue) and Veteran and Vintage Models of Brighton. They applied their own decals to many versions. The Lion Toy books only talk about a few factory versions so many of these may be Code 2 (from the English shops). Then, in 1990, toydetective (Holland) re-ssued the Van gend & Loos. Sold in Lion Car box with a toydecective sticker applied.
