In 1983, a series of cars were introduced with a unique marketing feature known as "Wrapper Racer". It was contrived by Nashville, Tennessee based Kusan Manufacturing Company. A diecast car was wrapped inside a simulated candy wrapper within the blister card. The series was comprised of eight miniatures and appear to be re-issued Kam-Shing castings. In addition to the Corvette and Trans Am, there was a Porsche 936, Ferrari BB512, Datsun 280Z, Lamborghini Jota, and Pontiac Grand Prix. The re-issued Corvette and Trans-Am were produced with less detailing. Opaque window glazing was substituted to delete the use of an interior. The Kam-Shing name is absent on the base plate and the model number was revised. All the examples were made in Hong Kong. The wrappers advertised Reese's, Almond Joy, Mounds, Baby Ruth, Payday, Powerhouse and Junior Mints. A 1960s Kusan product was a set named "Grand Prix". It consisted of a plastic figure-eight speedway track sloped for gravity racing. Five colourful generic plastic race cars were included. Inserting a ball bearing would attain the speed necessary to race.
