Lars-Erik Nielsen (born January 1, 1951 in Frederiksberg) is a Danish entrepreneur and former racing driver. He is the father of Christina Nielsen.
Lars-Erik Nielsen founded the airline Maldivian Air Taxi in 1992. The company served the islands around the Maldives with up to 40 seaplanes of the type de Havilland Canada DHC-6 from Malé International Airport. 2013 he sold the company for the price of 1 billion Danish kroner to the Trans Maldivian Airways. Since 2015 he has been a co-owner of Nordic Seaplanes, the first Danish airline to fly the route from Aarhus to Copenhagen with seaplanes

He is also Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Semler Group, the large Danish vehicle dealer (market share 2019 19.9%).
After initial insignificant attempts in the 1980s, Lars-Erik Nielsen began a career as a driver in addition to his entrepreneurial activity in the early 2000s. From 2004, he started with GT racing cars of Porsche in the American - and European Le Mans Series, where he scored three class victories.
He drove in the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring and five times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He made his debut in 2004 together with Gregor Fisken and Ian Donaldson in the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR and finished 18th overall. He achieved his best placement in Le Mans in 2006 when he finished 16th and second in the GT2 class.
In the 2010s he moved his activities to historic motorsport, where he competed in the Group C Racing Class with a Porsche 962 C, among other things.
