A manufacturer of different kinds of vehicles based in Vienna, Austria, originally founded in 1821 for the production of horse-drawn carriages. The company made motor cars in the early 20th century, notably the gasoline-electric hybrid Lohner-Porsche vehicles designed by the young Ferdinand Porsche.
Later on the company concentrated on tramcars and bus bodies, beside making airplanes from 1909 to 1918 and motor scooters during the 1950s.
