He is the first leader of the Uruk-hai Scouts and the secondary antagonist of the 2001 film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. He is a brainwashed Uruk-hai commander ordered by Saruman to obtain the One Ring and kill the Fellowship.

He was portrayed by Lawrence Makoare, who also played the Witch-King of Angmar, Gothmog, Mr. Kil, and Bolg.
