Max Mayfield

Maxine Mayfield (better known as just Max) also known by her gaming handle MadMax, is a fictional character featured in Netflix's Stranger Things, first appearing as a supporting character in Stranger Things 2. She also appears in Stranger Things 3 and Stranger Things 4 as a main character. Max will also be featured in the upcoming fifth and final season. 

Upon arriving in the town of Hawkins, Max becomes friends with Mike and his party, consisting of Lucas, Dustin, and Will. Eventually, she becomes aware of the Upside Down and the party's recent past, and ends up becoming close friends with Eleven later that summer. Eight months after her stepbrother's death, Max falls victim to Vecna's curse and begins to distance herself from her friends, eventually becoming fatally wounded -- resulting in her becoming brain-dead.
