Antioch Ad Meandrum was a city of ancient Caria, in Anatolia. The city was situated between the Maeander and Orsinus rivers near their confluence. When Caria received the gift of freedom from the Roman Senate, B.C. 168, Antioch began to strike coins, Tetradrachms, obv. Head of Zeus, rev. ΑΝΤΙΟΧΕΩΝ, Eagle on fulmen and magistrate’s name in circular Maeander pattern.
