Nigel is the main antagonist of Rio and the secondary antagonist Rio 2.
He is not a pretty bird, but used to be quite a looker. Once a popular television star, he was replaced by a young parakeet from Paraguay named Petricious. Since then, Nigel has had it out for all birds of beauty. Nigel put his jealousy and rage to use in his role as the former "evil henchbird" of Marcel and the smugglers.
