Emile Quirin founded Quiralu in Luxeuil, France, in 1933. Originally a manufacturer of aluminum toy soldiers, Quiralu branched into diecast model cars in 1955, releasing versions of Messerschmitt, Isetta Velam, Vespa 400 in 1/35 and 1/43 scale. The company closed its doors in the early 1960s, but saw re-editions in 1991.
