Something Missing?

UK-based computer games developer Rebellion was established in 1991 by brothers Jason and Chris Kingsley. Since then it has expanded from a two-person outfit in the brothers' shared basement flat to a team of more than fifty programmers, artists, and animators, and has moved into a new studio in central Oxford. The team consists mainly of Oxford University graduates, and several PhDs and MScs.

Rebellion has produced such games as the double BAFTA-nominated Aliens Versus Predator for 20th Century Fox on the PC in 1999. Their most recent launches have been Sniper Elite: Berlin 1945 (September 2005), winning the TIGA game of the year award, and Rogue Trooper. 2006 saw the launch of From Russia with Love and Miami Vice, both on PSP.

Throughout the many years of developing games, Rebellion has branched out into other medias, most notably comics. In June 2000 Rebellion purchased the UK's premier Sci-Fi Comic 2000 AD and its entire character portfolio consisting of characters such as Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, ABC Warriors, and over 700 other unique and innovative IP's. In November 2003, Rebellion launched its first 2000 AD character game Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death. Rogue Trooper was chosen as the second character to join the video games arena.
