The term "Regular Wheels" is colloquially applied to Matchbox Miniatures diecast models which were made from 1953 until 1969, before the introduction of Superfast wheels (i.e. low-friction plastic wheels on thin wire axles).

This term was never officially used by the Lesney company, the manufacturer of Matchbox Miniatures at the time. The official name of the range was simply "Matchbox Series" from 1953 to 1959 and then "Series 1-75" from 1960 to 1974. From 1975 to 1982 the name used was "Matchbox 75", and since 1983 it has been "Matchbox Miniatures".

It must also be noted that Matchbox Miniatures models with thick axles and non-Superfast wheels continued to be manufactured beyond 1969. Some older models continued to be produced without being converted, and from 1974 onward even some new models with non-Superfast wheels and chassis were introduced.

So it is fair to say that the Matchbox Miniatures range has always included some "regular wheel" models, although this term is usually only applied to models which were introduced before 1970.
