The Replica Entertainment series was first produced in 2013 as the Retro Entertainment series and featured cars from popular classic movies and TV shows. "Retro" was dropped from the series name in 2014 to make it the Entertainment series and allow more contemporary movie and TV cars to appear in the line as well as vehicles from popular video games. The name was changed to Replica Entertainment series in 2017. As a sub-series of the Hot Wheels Premium line, all Replica Entertainment models feature a diecast metal base and most have rubber tires.
