Starts off as a criminal, who meets Chon Wang on a train that he and his outlaw band steal from and is later betrayed by his buddies, who bury him in the sand. O'Bannon uses the chop sticks Wang gives him to dig himself out. Then the two of them get sent to jail and there get to know each other.
