Also under their sub-brand Champion they produced a line of 3-inches Grand Prix cars with plastic bodies and metal bases in the late 1960s - early 1970s. Super Champions were 1/43 versions of their racing cars, most being for the Le Mans 24 hours race.

A series of small commercial vehicles were also called Champion on their baseplates but Championette on their boxes, These also had plastic bodies with metal bases.  (Andrew Ralston, Diecast Collector, Nov 2022)

Some of the Safir/Champions molds were copied by the Spanish brand Guisval in its early 4-inches and 3-inches series, in the mid-late 1960's.
