Sernam

Sernam ( acronym of "Service national des messageries") was a French company for transport of luggage and parcels, which was a full service from the railway until 2002, then a subsidiary of SNCF before being privatized in 2005.

January 2012, Sernam filed for bankruptcy and asked to be placed in receivership. The activities have been partially taken over by Geodis Calberson (SNCF group), which has retained about 800 out of 1440 positions.
