Snow White is the titular character from a German fairy tale which Disney in turn reimagined as an animated feature film. The Snow White character is described as having jet black hair, skin as pale as the snow, and lips as red as blood. She was even given the nomecure "the fairest of them all", a title which drives her evil stepmother, the Queen, into a manic state of jealousy. The tale of Snow White differs from genration to genration, storyteller to storyteller, but the most well known version of the story consits of the Queen attempting to kill Snow White by manipulating a huntsmen. After that failed attempt, Snow White flees to the safety of a cabin owned by seven dwarves. Later she is tempted by a poison apple that puts her into a sleep like state. After her death, the dwarves place Snow White in a glass coffin, in order to continue sharing her beauty with the world. While in the coffin, a travelling prince sees Snow White and demands the dwarves bring her from her perch so that he may gaze upon her beauty. Whilst hoisting the coffin, the last piece of the poison apple dislogged from her throat, causing Snow White to awaken. The two wed, and at the ceremony the evil Queen was punished by being forced to dance in hot iron shoes. Like many fairy tales, the legend of Snow White was told to instil morals upon young children. This lesson was that vanity and jealousy only lead to your own misery.
Snow White has been portrayed many times in visual media. The most well known is the Disney animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", in which she is voiced by Adriana Caselotti. She is also a featured character on the ABC series "Once Upon A Time", where she is portrayed by Ginnifer Goodwin. Snow Whites most recent film apperance was in "Snow White and the Huntsman" in which she was played by Kristen Stewart.
